Beautiful Amur (White) Wagtail Amur (White) Wagtail Pictures and Detail-  Today, it is time for Amur Wagtail which is a subspecies of White Wagtail. This is the third wagtail, I am sharing with you after Grey Wagtail and Grey -headed or Dark-headed Wagtail . The scientific name of this bird is Motacilla alba leucopsis . Amur Wagtail belongs to the Wagtail family of birds. We can find these birds over a long geographical range spread in the areas of Southeast Asia, India, China, Japan, and Oceania.  Sweet Amur (White) Wagtail Amur wagtail is a very sweet and friendly small wagtail. This wagtail mainly has a combination of White, Black, and gray colors on its body. It is quite pretty to observe the dark black eyes on the white face. The head of White Wagtail is black and we can find a black color on the front chest like a child's bib. Pied Myna or Asian Pied Starling Pied Myna or Asian Pied Starling Pictures and Detail- Today, it's time for another Myna i.e. Pied Myna or Asian Pied Starling. The last Myna, I shared with you were Brahminy Myna , Bank Myna , and Common Myna . Like the other Mynas, Pied Myna is also a common bird; however, less common than other Common Myna and Bank Myna. These are very social birds and for the last two years, I am seeing a pair of Pied Myna making nest at the same location. These birds are slightly shy than the common myna and avoid coming close to humans. However, they also live near to humans and we can find them near the human population in villages and cities.  They also love to eat human food leftover by them. Brahminy Starling (Myna) Pictures and Detail Brahminy Starling (Myna) Pictures and Detail-  Today, I will be discussing the third Myna, which is called Brahminy Starling or Brahminy Myna. Earlier, I wrote about Bank Myna and Common (Indian) Myna .  Like these Myna, Brahminy Myna can be commonly seen in many places. Like the other Myna, these are also not much shy of humans and they come close to human beings.  The scientific name of Brahminy Myna is Sturnia pagodarum and they belong to the sterling family. Mostly, we see them in pairs or in a group of birds. After many tries, I got a few pictures of Scaly-breasted Munia also called spotted Munia. The scientific name of this bird is Lonchura punctulata. Scaly-breasted Munia is a popular pet bird and many people capture them in cages which I don't like and admire because I love birds in their free environment. They are also called nutmeg mannikin or spice finch by people who trade them. Spotted Munia are small-sized birds and sometimes, we may miss to notice them. This bird is also called Red-naped ibis or black ibis and its scientific name is Pseudibis papillosa. Great Barbet  Great Barbet (Megalaima virens) Pictures and Detail Today, I will introduce you to the third Barbet with whom I met a few days back. First, I introduced you to the Brown-headed Barbet and then to Blue-throated Barbet  ( Coppersmith Barbet New) Now, it is time to meet the Great Barbet or Great Hill Barbet with whom I met near Baijnath Town in Himachal Pradesh. In my village, it is very common to hear the loud noise of great barbet, though, we sometimes also hear the voice of blue-throated barbet too. They sometimes come very near to the trees near my home in Himachal.
