Many times, male Red-vented Bulbul tries to come close to me or inquire about me when I try to take their pictures. These birds live in my neighborhood; therefore, we meet many times.


In the month of February, we can watch Red-vented Bulbul eats newly grown flowers of cannabis. Some people do keep these birds in cages because of their sweet voices; however, I do not like it. I request all not put birds in cages.

Sometimes, these birds do take away left-away food from our dog's food bowl.

As we go close to Red-vented Bulbuls, they also start recognizing you and don't find your presence awkward.


Both it is also important to not put unnecessary pressure on these birds and stay calm while taking pictures.

Red-vented Bulbul is not an endangered species and we can hope that they will stay with us for a long time.

However, the constant cutting of trees and increasing human interference are threatening many such birds.

It is easy to observe Red-vented bulbul in India because they are found in many parts.
