These birds are small in size and make a sweet sound. We can see slight change in their color at different geographical location. The main reason of their attacks on the crows is likely to be a past bad experience with the crows like crows may have stolen their eggs or may have eaten their new born. There are a pair of small brown...Arvind ji namaste. There are a pair of small brown birds which I've noticed recently. They make a very sweet sound and are prancing around the place energetically. I don't know why though, but they are attacking 2-3 crows that hang around the place. They just keep poking their beaks at them when they sit on specific trees or parapets, and I can't see a nest. The birds are brown with a white chest marked with brown spots on the chest. They have longish tails that resemble an upturned fan when they fluff up their bodies in defence or to attract a mate I think... what bird do you think this is and why are they doing this to the crows?
